Greisy's Leadership Journey: Shining In Las Americas

Hello dear readers! It is a pleasure for us to share the inspiring story of Greisy.

In the heart of Suchitoto, 20-year-old Greisy Benitez is making her mark in Las Américas, a community that stands out for its unity and focus on personal growth. Her passion for cocktails led her to study Waiter-Bartender, a bold step on her journey of personal growth. Facing challenges with courage, Greisy has learned to be resilient and determined, turning every obstacle into a stepping stone to her success.

The community of Las Américas, which Greisy now calls home, is an example of youth-led teamwork and project management. On her path to leadership, Greisy has been guided by inspiring mentors in SERES Ambassadors like Evelyn Ruiz and Cesar Recinos, those who introduced her to the Activate program. Mary Alas also left a mark in her. Mary motivated Greisy positively to impact her community. These role models empower Greisy, driving her to lead with passion and dedication.

For Greisy, leadership goes beyond authority; it means empathy, authenticity and shared growth. Her inclusive approach ensures that all young people are heard, highlighting their contributions and achieving tangible changes. Her qualities such as persistence, positivity, support, and resilience make her stand out as an exemplary leader.

Along her way, Greisy learned the importance of surrounding herself with inspiring mentors and maintaining an effective organization. On one hand In five years, she sees herself as a leader in her community, participating in impact spaces and supporting SERES initiatives. On another hand In a decade, her ambitions grow, because she wants a model community in areas such as youth union and project management.

The impact of SERES in Greisy is undeniable: the organization expanded its horizons, overcame her fears and helped her discover her best version. Now, radiate confidence and determination on her path to impactful and positive leadership.

Greisy's story demonstrates the strength of resilience and the power of the community. We are excited for her future, moreover we know that she has a lot of confidence that she will continue inspiring her community and beyond.
