What can you say about 2019?

https://seres.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/blogdicseres.jpg It was the year 2009 and two young people in their 20's, Corrina and Antonio, became a mission to support vulnerable frontline communities, to face the challenges of climate change. 10 years later we are one of the leading organizations that focus on youth leadership development, civic engagement and education for sustainability in Central America. During this decade we have developed a series of award-winning youth education and leadership programs - UNESCO-Japan Prize for Education for Sustainable Development in 2015 - and provided hundreds of training opportunities for at-risk and vulnerable youth. We celebrated significant organizational milestones, We had the opportunity to connect with friends and family and celebrate 10 years of constant learning, growth and to review our vision and where we are going. We couldn't have done this without you. You gave youth a chance. You trusted us and embraced our mission to make this world a better place. You told us what you expected from us and how we could join forces in specific projects for us, together, build hope in the minds and hearts of a generation. You helped us to inspire young ones to become involved in local governance, civil society, and national movements, addressing issues such as climate change, human rights, environmental justice, gender equality, and biocultural preservation. You engaged these leaders to fight for a sustainable world. This is what we can say about 2019: thank you for your commitment, trust, and love for this generation. You are one of the most important players in this journey that we started a decade ago and will continue for many years to come. We wish you a wonderful holiday season and an amazing 2020. With love, SERES team
